Lakiya Nichols is the Founder and Executive Director of Community Hope Center (CHC), Inc. It was established in 2018. CHC is a community centered nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving health in the New Haven community through education, resources, and accountability.  Lakiya is a life-long resident of New Haven (born & raised). She also works in New Haven at Yale New Haven Hospital for more than 20 years. Her experience as a Radiologic Technologist has propelled her to want to make a difference in bringing awareness and education including change to address the chronic health issues in the community.  Since establishing CHC, she has organized educational platforms connecting healthcare providers to the community to not only educate but build relationships. Lakiya is a strong believer in advocating for one’s health and being informed as well as proactive. She loves the New Haven community and wants nothing less than to see her community prosper and be in good health.
